Lamont Warren


Lamont Warren is a former professional American football player who played running back for eight seasons for the Indianapolis Colts, New England Patriots, and Detroit Lions.

Lamont Warren - PatroitsLamont Warren played running back at the University of Colorado before being drafted in the sixth round of the 1994 NFL Draft by the Indianapolis Colts. Warren went on to play four years with the Colts before playing for the New England Patriots and Detroit Lions. In his eight year career, Warren would become not only a dependable running back but also a threat to catch the ball out of the backfield, totaling over 1,000 yards receiving.

When ailing Marshall Faulk left the game, Lamont Warren took over and didn’t miss a beat. Warren had career highs with 90 yards rushing and 67 yards receiving as the Indianapolis Colts defeated New England, 10-7, Saturday night to earn their first playoff berth since 1987. Faulk, last year’s NFL offensive rookie of the year, went to the sideline early in the second quarter after aggravating his bruised knee.
